Racketeer Radio KFQX The New Golden Age of Radio
This powerful work not only lays bare the facts of LaMar’s case but also serves as a rallying cry for grassroots action. With his execution date set for January 13, 2027, time is running out to prevent this tragic miscarriage of justice.
LaMar’s conviction is a chilling example of systemic racism and judicial corruption. Prosecutors withheld exonerating evidence, excluded all Black jurors, and relied on dubious testimonies to secure a conviction. Despite these glaring injustices, LaMar has remained steadfast in his innocence, using his voice to call attention to the broader issues of racial and judicial inequality. Molly Crabapple, renowned for her evocative illustrations and activism, joins LaMar in creating The Injustice of Justice. This animation serves as a visceral introduction to LaMar’s story, combining artistry with advocacy to inspire action. LaMar’s message is clear: “If I must go, it won’t be without a fight. I won’t go silently into that dark night. Join me. Stand with me.”
A message from Keith LaMar on January 13, 2025: With today marking two years until my proposed execution date, as time once again becomes a critical factor, we have found a poignant and powerful way to tell and share my story. I hope you will join me in this effort. You have in your hand a gripping portrayal of the betrayal that is my case, facts and figures that can (and have) been substantiated by the record. Please use whatever means are at your disposal to help me get the word out, to help raise resources and awareness to elevate my plight. If I must go, it won’t be without a fight. I won’t go silently into that dark night. Join me. Stand with me. –KL

Bringing you the widest selection of oldies anywhere on our planet Earth. We play the very first golden age of American Rock n' Roll, the vast majority of songs predating the Beatles. On the show, you'll hear all the charted hits from and beyond the Top 40. All the hits & misses from the genres of Soul, Motown, Country, Doo-Wop, Folk and Rock & Roll. And why did you like Top 40 radio back in the '50s and '60s? Was it because they played non-stop music commercial free? No! Come on, it was because of the jingles, remember? Now on the show, we've turned back the hands of time and set the show as it should be with classic jingles and a radio personality from when radio was king, and not television. So join me, Rockin' Eddy, Thursdays at Noon, anywhere you are in the world, to discover or re-discover an extraordinary generation of music and I will take you back to the world gone away.
