Racketeer Radio KFQX The New Golden Age of Radio

The Delta Bombers have been a well-known band in the rockabilly culture since their start in 2008, getting instant recognition with their first single, ‘Howlin’. Their most recent LP, ‘Neon Sounds’ released in 2023, is the band’s best work to date. Three months into 2024 with tour dates booked for the band throughout the year, the band released some shocking news on all their social media feeds. The Band was going separate ways from lead singer and guitarist, Chris Moinichen, sending fans in dismay and wondering what was next for the band – will it be done, will it continue?
It was soon released from the band that they would fulfil all remaining tour dates with a new lead singer which they turned to Pip Hancox, frontman for the Guana Batz. There hasn’t been any announcement from the Delta Bombers if Pip will be joining The Delta Bombers just for the remaining tour dates or if this is the future of the band. On Friday the 13th, we didn’t get any concrete answers, but we did get an early Hallows treat from the new construction of the bombers, ‘Skeleton Bop‘. A new bluesy haunt was recorded and released for our listening pleasure, along with a lyric video for our visual pleasures.
Would we be reading too much into the album cover if we state that on the tombstone it does read ‘R.I.P. The Delta Bombers Skeleton Bop’ is that foreshadowing this is the resting place for The Delta Bombers? Only time will tell..
As far as Chris Moinichen, it seems he and the band are still in good terms as The Delta Bombers have used their social media to help support Chris Moinichen and his Solo music, CM Wolf and the Backbones promoting his upcoming shows in Las Vegas and California coming up, Hemsby + Germany and Viva Las Vegas next year! Wishing him all the luck and the very best, on The Delta Bombers Instagram post.
