Racketeer Radio KFQX The New Golden Age of Radio
With not much detail or warning, Rise Against erased their Instagram on January 21st and posted an image of a wall of orange with dots that formed “January 23rd”, leaving anticipation for the remaining hours. As the clock struck midnight on the date displayed the band released a new single “Nod” along with a music video. As of right now there isn’t much information that has followed, no record announcement, but in further investigation, RiseAgainst.com has been updated with three silhouettes of burning matches lighting up the screen with beside them the text, “NOD IF YOU UNDERSTAND ME” and a link to listen to the new song. Below that it is written:
“Our blind anger bounces around the room uncontrollably. Our actions have unintended consequences. Our wounds are often self-inflicted.
Meanwhile power structures are preserved and protected.
Chaos. Crossfire. Chain reaction…”
Rise Against is set to start the year on the road and finish up in October. Heading over the pond for hire European tour with L.S. Dunes, Spiritual Cramp and Sondaschule, beginning Jan. 28h in Dubland making their trek all over Europe. March 20th they begin their US tour ‘Rise of the Roach’ tour with Papa Roach and Underoath, see full dates and get tickets here

What’s that song? Who’s the performer? How did they get that name? What inspired those words? Why does this music touch my heart … make me smile … make me cry … make me want to dance, romance and fall in love? Whatever happened to the great music I grew up with? For the answers, join legendary radio host Wink Martindale for a two-hour weekly look back at the songs and stars who made the music magic with The History of Rock ‘N’ Roll. Each episode of The History of Rock ‘N’ Roll is built around a theme spotlighting yet another aspect of rock and pop history – from “Leading Ladies of the ‘80s” to “The ‘60s Greatest Dance Hits” … “Inside Beatlemania” to “The Best of Folk-Rock” … “The Magic of Motown” to “The #1 Hits of 1980” … “The Most Romantic Hits of 1978” to “The Super Summer Song Collection” – and many, many more. You’ll hear the songs and the stories behind them from Wink and often from the artists themselves. Here’s the inside scoop on the memorable music that’s formed the soundtrack of our lives.
