Mala Vista had a jam-packed 2024, full of electrifying performances, an acclaimed sophomore album, and a ground-breaking music video. The NYC-based band, known for their high-energy rock sound, released their highly anticipated second album Fun Time in 2024, followed by a whirlwind of U.S. tour dates and a thrilling tour across Spain.
Their live shows set the stage for unforgettable moments at some of the coolest NYC parties, including performances at Jonathon Toubin’s famous NYC Night Train events. But even with their packed schedule, Mala Vista found time to create their very first music video for the track “Don’t Owe You,” a standout from Fun Time.
Directed by first-time music video director D.C. Dufrane, the video embraces the raw, unfiltered energy that Mala Vista is known for. “We’re keeping it unpretentious, no frills and punk,” Dufrane said, a sentiment that perfectly captures the spirit of the band. Shot with a simple, direct approach, the video mirrors the band’s ethos—rocking out and having fun without overcomplicating things.
Mala Vista, comprised of Myke Miranda (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Manny Dominguez (bass/backing vocals), Erik LAMF (lead guitar), and Ben Heymann (drums), continues to push the boundaries of rock ‘n’ roll, capturing the essence of what it means to be a true New York City band. With Fun Time, they’ve solidified their place in the scene, and with this new video, they’re showing fans exactly what it means to keep it real.
Check out the video for “Don’t Owe You” and follow Mala Vista as they continue to rock 2025!

Sid Mark launched The Sounds of Sinatra in Philadelphia 62 years ago. It all began as a call from a listener, who suggested that Sid spin one hour of Frank Sinatra. In 1979, Sid took The Sounds of Sinatra to the national level with affiliates in New York and Los Angeles. Soon the show spread across the country to where it is today, airing on nearly 100 stations every week. This is the only radio program of its kind to have been personally authorized by Frank Sinatra. Sid and Frank developed a personal friendship in 1966. To celebrate the anniversary of the show, Sid was invited to see Frank in Las Vegas. After seeing Frank’s show at The Sands, Sid met Frank and a friendship was formed which would last for decades.
