The Secret Agents Unveils Electrifying New Single, “The Heist” For Their New Retro Spy-Themed Album for the Modern Era

The Secret Agents of Los Angeles’ premier purveyors of ‘60s-inspired jazz, spy cinema soundscapes, and infectious pop, rock, and R&B, have released their latest single, The Heist. Packed with mystery, suspense, and irresistible rhythm, The Heist transports listeners straight into the world of Cold War spycraft and high-stakes missions.

With its slick basslines, brassy horns, and cinematic flair, The Heist captures the pulse-pounding energy of classic spy film scores while infusing it with a modern, danceable twist. Inspired by the golden era of espionage thrillers and the cool sophistication of legends like Lalo Schifrin and John Barry, this debut track from their new album is an invitation to don your finest tuxedo or cocktail dress and step onto the dance floor.

“This song is like stepping into a lost scene from a ‘60s heist film—full of intrigue, swagger, and a touch of danger,” says Agent Milan (Mark Kopitzke), lead singer of The Secret Agents. “I wanted to create something that pays homage to the greats but still keeps audiences twisting in 2025,” explains songwriter Agent Stockholm (Sean O’Kelley).

The Heist is the first single of several to be released in the coming months, leading up to the streaming debut of their first studio album, also titled The Heist. The album features 12 scintillating tracks, including six original songs by Sean O’Kelley. The project showcases an all-star cast, with the vocal talents of Mark Kopitzke (Glenn Miller Orchestra) and Eva Mikhailovna (Postmodern Jukebox).

The Secret Agents are offering digital downloads and CDs of the full album on Bandcamp and at live events.

With as many twists and turns as an Ocean’s Eleven film, The Heist is hip enough to be the soundtrack of your grooviest mission. Just remember: Diamonds don’t steal themselves, baby!

The band celebrated the release with a special live performance February 2nd at Campus Jax in Newport Beach, where fans can experience the album’s cinematic energy in all its glory.

The Secret Agents flawlessly capture the sound of 1960s jazz, cinema, pop, rock, and R&B—the kind of music that instantly elevates any moment. Suddenly, you’re flying first-class on Pan-Am, sipping dry martinis in a sleek three-button suit en route to Las Vegas, where you’ll be dining with Steve McQueen at the Sands Hotel just before a Rat Pack show.

That’s the level of cool we’re talking about.

Formed in 2018, The Secret Agents set out on a mission to bring the sounds of the ‘60s back into the mainstream. Their influences include Bobby Darin, Mel Tormé, Henry Mancini, Lalo Schifrin, Johnny Rivers, Chet Baker, Matt Monro, Horace Silver, Georgie Fame & The Flames, The Buckinghams, Mickey & Sylvia, Del Shannon, The Association, and many more.

So put on that dinner jacket, pour yourself a drink, and let’s twist again like we did so very long ago!
