The Crocodile Announces New Summer Concert Series at Seattles Waterfront Park

OODALALEE – CONCERTS AT PIER 62

For the first time in two decades, large-scale concerts are returning to the Seattle waterfront, as legendary rock club The Crocodile announces the full launch of Oodalalee – Concerts at Pier 62, a summer-long concert series set against one of the most breathtaking backdrops in the Pacific Northwest.

Presented in partnership with the nonprofit Friends of Waterfront Park, the Oodalalee series will run throughout the summer at the newly renovated Pier 62, bringing an eclectic mix of local, national, and international talent to a 2,500-capacity venue with sweeping views of downtown Seattle and the Olympic Mountains. The series kicks off June 1st with a headlining set from cinematic guitar duo Hermanos Gutiérrez, followed by performances from Silversun Pickups, Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange), Deltron 3030, Fruit Bats, Cosmo Sheldrake, Blind Pilot & John Craigie, Otoboke Beaver, Queer Pier Pride, Gimme Gimme Disco, and more to be announced.

The revival of concerts at Pier 62 marks a major moment for the city. Once the home of the beloved “Summer Nights at The Pier” concert series in the 1990s and early 2000s, the waterfront venue hosted legends like James Brown, Johnny Cash, Lauryn Hill, and The Roots before being shuttered in 2005 due to aging infrastructure. Since then, Pier 62 has undergone a dramatic transformation. Its 125-year-old wooden supports have been replaced with 175 modern steel legs, and a new floating dock has been added—now available as an exclusive VIP viewing area for concertgoers.

This summer’s Oodalalee series is both a throwback and a bold step forward, serving as a cultural heir to the historic shows of the past while injecting new energy into the Seattle live music scene.

“Concerts at Pier 62 were such a vital part of Seattle’s music ecosystem,” says Hunter Motto, Creative Director of The Crocodile. “We’re overjoyed to bring our favorite local, national, and international artists to Pier 62 – it’s a magical and historic place.”

The concert series also celebrates a broader transformation of Seattle’s downtown waterfront. The multi-billion-dollar redevelopment project—the most ambitious civic initiative since the 1962 World’s Fair—has reimagined the space as a pedestrian-friendly, community-driven destination. Friends of Waterfront Park, which manages and programs the pier, has led the charge to ensure the area remains vibrant and accessible for all Seattleites.

“Seattle has always cherished live music at the waterfront,” adds Joy Shigaki, President and CEO of Friends of Waterfront Park. “Oodalalee adds a new chapter to that tradition. We’re excited to welcome a new generation of concertgoers to Pier 62—and to remind everyone that Waterfront Park is a place where music, community, and civic life come together at the water’s edge.”

Both The Crocodile and the waterfront have undergone significant reinvention while honoring their roots. After moving from its iconic location on 2nd Avenue, The Crocodile now operates as a multi-venue complex and hotel a few blocks north—still a pulse point of the city’s music community. With Oodalalee, The Croc extends its footprint into a landmark partnership that fuses the spirit of Seattle’s musical past with its ever-evolving present.

As summer approaches, Oodalalee is poised to become a new staple in Seattle’s cultural calendar—and the view is just the beginning.
