Kat Lively was born October 15, 1993 in Denver, Colorado. She is an American Musician, Actress, Artist and Podcast Host.

At 3 months old, Kat was adopted by her Paternal Grandmother and Step-Grandfather where she moved from Denver, Colorado to Visalia, California. At the age of 8 she was placed in acting classes by her adoptive Mother, where she regularly performed in local musicals and plays. It was also at this time she began taking choir class and also learning violin in school.
Simultaneously she began painting and writing poetry around this time.

At the age of 13 she began to play Guitar. She was enrolled in a class in middle school, though later dropped out after learning basic chords, going on to teach herself the rest and take a class in photography instead. In High school she was a lead writer on the Journalism Staff for her school newspaper The Pathfinder, where she wrote mostly political or musical articles. She was also briefly involved in track and field, and softball.

As the result of multiple and unforeseen family tragedies since age 11, Kat was sent to Florence, Alabama at age 16 to live with distant relatives. This propelled the next 5 years of her life, moving around the Southern and Midwest regions of the United States. She had no opportunity to creatively express herself nor foster her growth in music or acting during this time. This was the darkest time of her life thus far.

When she was 21, she began playing Guitar again as a means to process a break up. Following an open mic night performance, the booker of a small club in Huntsville, Alabama offered to pay her $300 if she would come back in 3 weeks to perform. She obliged, went home, changed her name, wrote 3 original songs- and fell back in love with the stage she had loved so dear as a child.

One month shy of 22, Kat moved back to California on a whim, with $300 to her name. She found home in Los Angeles, California and resumed a creative path in music and art right away. She has since performed with musical artists such as Green Day, and opened for various other notorious Los Angeles based bands such as Alice Bag, Mike Watt & The Secondmen, and the Kyle Gass Band (of Tenacious D).

As recently as 2018, Kat began acting again, playing a small role in Indie Horror Film, Psychedelic Psychopaths, as well as appeared in a small role, on the series finale of VEEP. She is currently launching a podcast in January 2020 centered around Old Hollywood, and plans to release a full length album later in the year.
