The Menzingers 'Some Of It Was True' Coming Oct 13th

The Menzingers have announced a new album, Some Of It Was True, due October 13 via Epitaph. The album was produced by Brad Cook (Waxhatchee, Kevin Morby, etc) at Sonic Ranch studio in Texas and mixed by past collaborator Jon Low. Last month, The Menzingers released a new single, "There's No Place In This World For Me" announcing a string of tour dates that will last the rest of the year. Today, with the announcment of the release of thier eighth studio album is another sneak peak into the album, Some Of It Was True with their second single, "Hope Is A Dangerous Little Thing"

Co-vocalist and guitarist Greg Barnett says, "Written over the last two and a half years in hotels, backstages, basements, and rehearsal rooms and recorded during a life-changing retreat down south, Some Of It Was True is the most realized version of what we set out to do when we started this band 17 years ago—have fun and be ourselves.

Some Of It Was True is a collection of 13 songs centered around the prospect of hope and all the uncertainties that accompany it. Some songs are acts of love and joy, while others are in a neverending search for it. Together, they’re stories written from experiences of our own and from those we met along the way."

Continued from the instagram post, "We can’t thank Bradley Cook enough for producing this album. Brad helped us cut through the noise to create something really true to heart, and his outlook on life and creativity will stay with us forever. We also owe a massive thanks to our friend Jon Low for lending his talents to the band once again by mixing the album. We absolutely couldn’t have done it without either of you."

The Menzingers will be on the road beginning August 15th with Prince Daddy & the Hyena and Mercy Union, and they've got a fall tour with Microwave, Cloud Nothings, and Rodeo Boys. The Fall/Winter tour will be hitting Seattle Decemeber 7th at Showbox Sodo.
