Laura Jane Grace In The Trauma Tropes Announce New Album ‘Adventure Club’

Laura Jane Grace is back with a bold new project! The Against Me! frontwoman has officially announced Adventure Club, the debut album from her latest endeavor, Laura Jane Grace In The Trauma Tropes. The record is set to drop on July 18 via Polyvinyl and features an all-star lineup, including Grace’s wife and collaborator, Paris Campbell Grace, alongside bassist Jacopo ‘Jack’ Fokas and drummer Orestis Lagadinos. Today, we get another insight to the Adventure with the newset  single ‘Mine Me Mine

cover

What makes Adventure Club particularly intriguing is its origin. The album was conceived during Laura’s artist residency in Athens, Greece, through a prestigious Fellowship grant from the Onassis Foundation. Drawing inspiration from her time abroad, the record explores the classic hero’s journey as told through the lens of Greek mythology—touching on themes of love, war, trust, betrayal, virtue, vice, and, of course, iced coffee drinks.

As a taste of what’s to come, the band has dropped their first single, “Mine Me Mine.” True to Laura Jane Grace’s signature style, the track delivers a scathing critique of capitalist greed and its role in fueling global suffering. If this song is any indication, Adventure Club promises to be an unflinching and thought-provoking album.

To support the release, Laura Jane Grace In The Trauma Tropes will be hitting the road for an extensive tour, spanning North America and Canada. The run kicks off on April 1 in St. Louis, MO, and will include stops in major cities such as Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, Toronto, and Chicago, before wrapping up in Denver this August. Along the way, the band will share the stage with artists like Alex Lahey, Rodeo Boys, PET NEEDS, and Murder By Death. Notably, they will also be making a highly anticipated appearance at Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas on May 25.

Laura took to Instagram to share the news with fans, posting: “Here’s the big announcement! New album – Adventure Club out July 18th via Polyvinylrecords. New Single ‘Mine Me Mine’ out now, streaming on all platforms.” The album’s cover art, designed by Bassment Rats, and a striking band photo by @gerasimoupinelopi complete the package, adding a distinct visual flair to this exciting new era.

With a powerhouse lineup, a deeply inspired concept, and a message that cuts straight to the heart of modern struggles, Adventure Club is shaping up to be one of the most compelling releases of the year.
