The Untamed Youth is a legendary American garage/surf band from Columbia, Missouri. The group formed in 1987 when all the members were in high school.  The group’s lead singer and guitarist Deke Dickerson has had a long career in music through his groups The Whippersnappers, The Ecco-Fonics, The Dave and Deke Combo, and The Go-Nuts. Other members include Steve “King of Men” Mace, Steve “Sammy” Rager, and Chris Sprague AKA “Gringo Starr” AKA “Sugarballs” from Los Straitjackets & Nick Lowe.

The Untamed Youth released numerous albums through the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s and toured all over the world. Recently the group reunited for several shows and to record this new album “Git Up and Go,” a return to their wild rock ‘n’ roll
