Hause Sounds the Alarm with “Look Alive”

Hause describes Look Alive as a response to the overwhelming invisibility of modern malaise, a rallying cry to resist nihilism and reclaim control. A stirring blend of punk’s urgency and Americana’s heart, the song delivers chaos with clarity—and hope with grit. The dosage magazine spotlight called it “an uplifting anthem” rooted in “modern life” tension. The full album, …And The Mermaid, is slated for release Sept.26,  and promises an expanded palette that merges punk energy with reflective storytelling.

Dave Hause is hitting the road in support of his new material this fall. Notably, he’ll make a highly anticipated Seattle stop at the intimate Rabbit Box Theatre, a subterranean speakeasy venue tucked beneath Pike Place Market and produced in association with The Triple Door. Saturday, September 13, 2025 @ 9 PM marks his only Seattle performance on the current itinerary. Tickets are priced at $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Doors open at 9 PM, with service and seating starting beforehand—table service is included with ticketed seats in this cozy, first‑come-first‑seated venue.

Since launching his solo career with Resolutions in 2011, Hause has built a reputation for blending raw emotion with unbridled punk roots. Albums like Devour, Kick, and Blood Harmony have charted personal landscapes of divorce, parenthood, existential dread—and redemption.

With …And The Mermaid, Hause deepens this duality: his songs remain grounded in heartland honesty but also explore themes of transformation, renewed optimism, and creative kinship (including collaboration with his brother Tim Hause).

Look Alive” stands as a crossroads between despair and defiance—a statement of purpose. On stage in Seattle, anyone lucky enough to hear it—and the rest of his new music—can expect something powerful.
