Southern California’s punk rock scene just got a jolt of pure energy. Greg Antista and the Lonely Streets are back with their third album, Bastards and Broken Hearts, set to drop worldwide on February 7th, 2025. This record is a relentless blend of punk rock, roots rock, and power pop that will have you pushing your pedal to the metal and your fist in the air, ready for a sonic ride like no other.
Teaming up with producers Jonny Two Bags (Social Distortion) and Paul Miner (Buzzbomb Studios),
the band has created a 10-song, 30-minute blast of urgency and intensity. The result is a record that pushes the Lonely Streets’ sound into new territory while keeping the raw energy and spirit they’ve become known for. New Noise Magazine describes the group as “a stellar four-piece who owe just as much to Johnny Cash as they do The Adolescents,” while The Big Takeover has compared their approach to “a crunchier, power-pop-leaning Social Distortion.”
With deep roots in the Southern California punk scene, Greg Antista and the Lonely Streets bring a wealth of experience to their music. Greg Antista himself began his career alongside punk legend Steve Soto in the post-Adolescents project Joyride, where they honed their songwriting and punk rock sensibilities. The band’s current lineup is equally seasoned, with members who have extensive ties to the punk rock world:
Before the full album’s release, Greg Antista and the Lonely Streets have already given fans a taste of what’s to come with the debut single, “Black Stars and Cadillacs,” produced by Jonny Two Bags. The high-octane track comes complete with a music video that perfectly captures the gritty, raw spirit of the band.
Bastards and Broken Hearts is shaping up to be a game-changer for Greg Antista and the Lonely Streets, adding a fresh urgency to their already well-established sound. With their signature blend of punk attitude, rootsy swagger, and power-pop hooks, this album is sure to hit hard and leave a lasting impact.
Mark your calendars—Bastards and Broken Hearts drops on February 7th, 2025. Turn it up, and get ready to rock!
