Get ready, Seattle — Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival is back, and it’s bigger, bolder, and more electrifying than ever! Celebrating its 52nd year, the iconic festival will transform Seattle Center into a playground of music, art, food, and community on Labor Day weekend, August 30–31. With a freshly unveiled lineup that reads like a music lover’s dream, Bumbershoot 2025 promises two days of unforgettable experiences.
This year’s Bumbershoot lineup is nothing short of spectacular. Headlining acts include California alt-rock titans Weezer, indie darlings Bright Eyes and Car Seat Headrest, the magnetic Janelle Monáe, and synth-pop innovators Sylvan Esso. Also gracing the stage are rising stars and legendary names like Aurora, Saba, Indigo De Souza, The Linda Lindas, Tennis, and Seattle punk legends The Murder City Devils.
On Saturday, August 30, festivalgoers can catch Weezer’s “Voyage to the Blue Planet” show, alongside Bright Eyes, Car Seat Headrest, and other standout acts like Tank and the Bangas, Pretty Girls Make Graves, and punk newcomers Scowl. Sunday, August 31, will shimmer with the ethereal sounds of Aurora, the fearless artistry of Janelle Monáe, Digable Planets’ 30th-anniversary “Blowout Comb” celebration, and sets from Real Estate, Bob the Drag Queen (DJ Set), and many more.
More than just a music festival, Bumbershoot has long been a beacon of artistic innovation and Pacific Northwest pride. Since its birth in 1971, the festival has spotlighted both established icons and rising stars across music, visual art, fashion, food, and performance. This year is no exception.
The festival will once again fill the 74-acre Seattle Center campus with not only sound but also sight and taste. Expect immersive visual art installations, fashion runway shows in the Fashion District, skate action at Gravity Park, comedy at SIFF, and even a pole dancing pavilion in the Geodesic Domes.
Bumbershoot’s renowned Culinary Arts program returns in 2025, promising to satisfy every appetite. Local favorites and hidden gems will dish out mouthwatering fare, while Cocktail Corner, VineShoot, and BumBEERshoot will keep the beverages flowing. Whether you’re craving comfort food or adventurous bites, this year’s culinary lineup has something for everyone — stay tuned for the full food and drink announcement!
At the heart of Bumbershoot’s mission is a deep commitment to community and inclusion. For the third consecutive year, the festival’s nonprofit arm, Third Stone, will host the BumberWorks Workforce Development Program. Designed for young people aged 17–25, BumberWorks offers paid training in live music and event production, creating career pathways into Seattle’s thriving arts scene.
Just ask Lauren Andrade, a 2023 graduate who now works at The Crocodile: “This opportunity wouldn’t have been possible without the program. Through networking with all the different industry folks I met along the way, I am able to freelance around the city working for festivals, venues, and local bands.”
In a first-ever collaboration, Bumbershoot has teamed up with Capitol Hill Block Party to offer the “Big Gulp” ticket — a $340 combo pass that grants access to both festivals. Available May 9, this joint ticket offers music fans an affordable way to experience two of Seattle’s most beloved festivals. Note: Big Gulp tickets are only available to attendees 21 and older, as Capitol Hill Block Party is a 21+ event.
Early bird Bumbershoot Weekend Passes go on sale May 7–8 for just $199. Starting May 9, prices increase to $225 for weekend passes, $125 for single-day tickets, and $800 for the new Crew Pack (four weekend passes). Big Gulp combo tickets also drop May 9 at $340.

Bumbershoot isn’t just an event — it’s a movement. Produced by New Rising Sun on behalf of nonprofit Third Stone, the festival champions inclusivity, innovation, and community engagement. From punk to performance art, ballet to wrestling, and food to fashion, Bumbershoot showcases the dreamers and creators who make the Pacific Northwest pulse with energy.
Third Stone’s mission goes beyond festival weekend: it aims to foster an equitable arts ecosystem year-round, particularly for underserved young people. With partners like The Crocodile, The Showbox, KEXP, and TeenTix, Third Stone ensures that the next generation of Seattle artists, producers, and promoters have the tools to thrive.
Set amid the International Fountain, Space Needle, and Climate Pledge Arena, the Seattle Center campus is the perfect backdrop for Bumbershoot’s vibrant celebration. As the city’s premier civic, arts, and family gathering space, Seattle Center embodies the spirit of connection and creativity that Bumbershoot brings to life each year.
With an unbeatable lineup, groundbreaking art, mouthwatering eats, and a heart firmly rooted in community, Bumbershoot 2025 is shaping up to be one for the history books. Don’t miss your chance to be part of Seattle’s beloved moss-covered Mardi Gras — grab your passes, rally your crew, and get ready to dance, feast, and celebrate all that makes the Pacific Northwest extraordinary.
