Bridge The Gap Set Date To Release New Full Length Album ‘Gainsayer’

Melodic punk dynamo Bridge The Gap is back to shake up the airwaves! Hot off their acclaimed debut Secret Kombinations, the trio has announced their sophomore album, Gainsayer, set to drop on April 11th. Released under Double Helix Records and backed by global heavyweights SBAM Records and Pee Records, Gainsayer promises to be the melodic tour de force of the spring. Can’t wait? Neither can we—you can stream the brand-new single “Brothers” now!

Chad Jensen, the band’s frontman and six-string slinger, teased what’s to come: “The focus on Gainsayer was songwriting and melody, as opposed to displays of virtuosity that don’t serve the song. There are plenty of riffs and killer drums, but we wanted to deliver a well-written, melodic tour de force that grabs the listener from the first track and never lets up.

Recorded at the legendary Blasting Room under the meticulous guidance of punk icons Bill Stevenson (Descendents, ALL, Black Flag) and Jason Livermore (Rise Against, Hot Water Music, NOFX), Gainsayer is described as the result of a band firing on all creative cylinders. Secret Kombinations might have captured lightning in a bottle, but this time, Jensen and company have bottled a melodic storm.

The latest single, “Brothers,” a poignant exploration of loss and madness, signals a deeper and more cohesive sound from the band. Says Jensen, “The foundation of this record is the strength of the vocal melodies and the songs themselves.”

A trio of lifelong friends, Bridge The Gap has roots tracing back to the punk scene of the 1990s. After years apart pursuing families and careers, the band reformed in 2020, reigniting their musical spark. Jensen’s backlog of material and the collective urge to create led to their debut album—a raw, DIY triumph. Now, with Gainsayer, the band emerges more seasoned and united, delivering a record that hits hard but sticks to the ears like a sweet melody.

With Gainsayer poised for release, the band is ready to make waves across the globe. From the U.S. with Double Helix Records to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan through SBAM and Pee Records, Bridge The Gap is set to bridge continents and hearts alike. Mark your calendars for April 11th—Gainsayer is coming, and it’s not taking any prisoners.
