Messer Chups Unveil Spine-Tingling New Single, Limited Vinyl Album Ahead of U.S. Tour with Electric Six
The eerie, electrifying sounds of Messer Chups are back to haunt your speakers with their latest single, Kiss of the Night, the first taste of their upcoming album, Don’t Worry, Be Creepy, set to be released on May 2 via Hi-Tide Recordings. A surf-rock horror extravaganza, the album promises to deliver all the spine-tingling thrills and hypnotic grooves that fans have come to expect from the St. Petersburg-based trio.
Recorded by Evan Foster of The Boss Martians, Don’t Worry, Be Creepy is packed with reverb-drenched guitars, spooky atmospherics, and cinematic twists straight out of a 1960s B-movie. To bring their signature brand of undead rock ‘n’ roll to life, Messer Chups has also teamed up with visual artist Travis Knight, ensuring that their album is not just an audio experience but a visual feast as well. Adding to the excitement, a limited-edition red/cyan vinyl pressing of Don’t Worry, Be Creepy will be available in a run of 2,000 copies, complete with 3D glasses for the full retro-horror effect.
Messer Chups is known for blending elements of surf rock, rockabilly, and classic horror film aesthetics, crafting a sound that feels like a lost soundtrack to a drive-in monster movie. Oleg Guitaracula (guitar, composer), Zombierella (bass), and Mattia Bertolassi (drums) drive the band’s infectious energy, with Evan Foster making a guest appearance on Big Foot’s Shadow to add even more guitar wizardry.
To celebrate the release of Don’t Worry, Be Creepy, Messer Chups will be hitting the road in May for a U.S. tour alongside the high-voltage rockers of Electric Six. Kicking off in Michigan on May 1, the tour will take the band across the country, stopping in cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, New Orleans, Austin, and St. Louis before wrapping up in Grand Rapids, MI on May 25.
