The Mizzerables, a punk rock trio hailing from the Windy City, have just released their latest single, “Radioactive Me,” backed with “Maybe I.” The new tracks are available for streaming now, including on YouTube and other major platforms via the band’s official Linktree.

Since forming in 2013, The Mizzerables have been delivering high-energy music with anthemic hooks, drawing inspiration from punk legends like Green Day, Alkaline Trio, and Off With Their Heads (OWTH). Over the past decade, they’ve dropped three albums and now add their latest single to an impressive discography.

But for frontman Joe Mizzi, these new releases hold extra weight. Mizzi, who also plays in The Bollweevils and The Iron Spiders, recently shared that he’s been through some deeply personal challenges. After discovering he has a cystic fibrosis-related genetic disorder, Mizzi underwent surgery and spent two years navigating IVF treatments with his wife. Now, they are expecting their first child, a life milestone that, along with his physical and mental health journey, has shaped the music the band is releasing in the coming weeks.

Recorded at Third Class Studios in Traverse City, MI, “Radioactive Me” was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Brian Chamberlain. The track features additional vocals by Kevin Sierzega (Teen Idols, P.T.’s Revenge), with artwork designed by Anderson Mets.

The Mizzerables are also gearing up to perform at FEST 22 in Gainesville, IL this October. As they release more new music, the band aims to spread a message of resilience and hope for those struggling with life’s challenges, shining a light at the end of the tunnel.

For now, fans can stream “Radioactive Me” and watch the video that has been released simultaneously HERE  and on their preferred platforms. Stay tuned for more releases from the band as they continue to deliver powerful music and positive messages to their listeners.
