Nashville’s ska-core veterans Stuck Lucky are back in action with some major news. The band has officially signed with Ska Punk International and will release their long-awaited full-length album, Counting Curses, on October 8. This marks Stuck Lucky’s first full-length release since their 2016 self-titled LP. Fans can pre-order the new album now.
Counting Curses follows the band’s recent output, including their 2023 self-released EP Golden Serpent Holy Tabernacle Prt. 1, and their 2020 split LP with Chicago punk band Still Alive, Facing Reality, which came out on Bad Time Records.
The first single off the new album, “Rewind,” brings the same infectious energy Stuck Lucky is known for. The track comes with a video that was filmed live during the band’s set at Maribeth Fest 5 in Memphis, Tennessee. The song blends their signature mix of ska rhythms with punk aggression and a raucous live presence, setting the tone for what fans can expect from Counting Curses.
In addition to the new album, Stuck Lucky has announced two upcoming live performances. The band will play The Cobra in Nashville on October 11, sharing the stage with Still Alive, Joystick, and The Oi!takus. The following night, they’ll head to the Memphis area for a free show at Ska-Tober Fest on October 12, offering fans a chance to experience their high-energy performance in the spirit of DIY punk-ska community gatherings.
Stuck Lucky continues to be a staple of the underground punk and ska scene, consistently delivering on their hard-hitting blend of ska, punk, and hardcore. Fans of the genre won’t want to miss out on Counting Curses as the band charges ahead with more music and live performances.
Be sure to check out the video for “Rewind” and catch Stuck Lucky.
